The HOPE wishes you a happy new year!

Hello and Happy New Year to you all,

I hope that you all had a good break and have settled back at school or college.

We are all very busy at The HOPE, as usual, and especially because we are currently without one member of staff. Charlotte Moody, our Business Support Assistant, has left The HOPE. She has gone back to her home town and has a new job there. We will miss Charlotte and hope she will be very happy in her new role. We are going to recruit for the Business Support Assistant job – fingers crossed that we will have someone new before too long.

At the end of last term we had our annual prize giving event for The HOPE’s Mary Palmer Poetry Competition. It was a very enjoyable and happy evening. The competition gets more entries every year – thank you to everyone who sent in a poem on this year’s topic of Wildlife!  Thanks also to Adele Gardner, one of The HOPE governors and to Julie Rowell, who, along with Adele, judges the poems and provides the prizes every year.

I hope that the new term and the new year go well for you.

Rachael Pryor

The HOPE Headteacher
