Hello! Wow, hasn’t time flown since I last blogged? And now it’s almost time for the Summer holidays – someone just needs to tell the weather…
The first thing to let you know about is that we are looking at all the things you told us from this year’s survey. Thank you very much to all of you who took part. We will let you know just as soon as we can what you had to say – probably in early September. We’ll also be in touch in September if you said you’d like to be part of the HOPE Student Council.
The HOPE Student Council had its second meeting in May and discussed what makes school good for children in care. Loads of ideas came up and you can read about them here.
Three of the Student Council members came to talk to the HOPE governing body about all the ideas on 4 July and I know you would have been proud they were there to represent you all because they were BRILLIANT! The governors were really impressed with the film and presentation the students showed and asked them lots of questions. The governors have promised to use what the Student Council told them in their work in the coming year.
We are sorting out dates for the HOPE Student Council meetings from September and will let you know when we know!
Good luck to all of you who have SATs or exam results coming up in the next few weeks and over the Summer – I’ve got my fingers crossed for you all. Remember, if you do better or worse in your exams than you thought you would, there’s always help available to discuss what you can do.
Enjoy the rest of the term and have a fantastic Summer. I’m sure the sun will remember to shine. See you in September!
