Hey guys. Hope you've had a good look around the site and you've enjoyed what you've seen. There's plenty to read, lots to do and countless ways to get involved and make the best out of being in care. This website is only scratching the surface at what is available for you but it is a good way to find out lots of information quickly and a great way not to feel isolated and alone whilst you're in care. There are over 600 children in care in Bristol at any one time and most of you will be unaware of others even in your own schools or colleges that are going through the same things you are.
This website was designed with you in mind and is the product of a years hard work by adults and children alike. It was put together by designers chosen by the Children in Care Council who said that children should all have access to a website that gave them all the information that they needed as well as useful contacts and fun games to play.
Contributions have been written by Children in Care, Participation staff and senior managers in Bristol and this website is truly an example of children and adults working together to achieve positive change for the children of Bristol. Our hope is that you will use this website as a first port of call, as a reference to answer questions, and a way to combat fears and get involved so that you can be instrumental in making your own care experience better. So whether you are a first time visitor or a regular.
Be Happy and keep in touch.
