Hello everyone,
Welcome to the home of the Vista, Bristol's Social Work Practice.
Vista will be set up from the 2nd April 2012 and will be providing social work support and services to some of Bristol's long term children in care. If you are a child or young person in care whose social worker is moving to Vista, you will be contacted in January 2012 and asked how you feel about this.
If your social worker is moving to Vista, it doesn't mean that your social worker will change, just that who they work for will change. The aim of Vista is to build on all the good practice that is currently provided by the teams based within the Local Authority, so that outcomes for all children and young people in the care of Bristol improve. Vista will also offer a through care service, so if you are a young person leaving care you can keep your social worker until you are an adult.
More details will be sent out to you and your carers in January 2012 if you are involved.
