‘In Our Shoes’ is a training course with a difference; instead of asking the participants to move forward and grow as adults, we’re asking everyone to take a step back, a step closer to childhood and to alter the way they see the world; if only for a day.
The training was designed by children and young people to be different. It is about putting the participants inside the minds of children in care and seeing things from the inside out rather than the outside in. The day is an immersive experience, educational, interactive and above all else fun. There are no Powerpoints, but plenty of activities and interactive exercises using DVD clips of Bristol children in care talking about what’s important to them.
