All children in care who are between 5 and 16 years old and who need help to do better are allowed to have a Personal Education Allowance (PEA). The PEA is up to £500 a year. It is for additional support that is most suitable for your needs. Your social worker can apply for PEA money at the time of your Personal Education Plan meeting.
