What about it....There is so much said about drugs and alcohol, some of it true, some of it untrue that to even scratch the surface would take weeks and weeks. Most of you will have come across the term drugs or seen them featured on a TV programme, some of you may have been offered drugs, some of you may be drug users. Either way it is always best to know as much as you can and to have access to the information you need when you want it.
You can find out more about drugs and substance misuse by visiting http://www.openingdoorsbristol.org.uk Opening Doors is the new umbrella name for specialist substance misuse services for young people in Bristol. The aim of Opening Doors is to deliver a more joined up service to the most vulnerable young people across the city. Reaching out to young people in the settings and communities where they live. One part of this service is done by opening doors… to young people with social workers
The Drugs & Young People’s Project is a service dedicated to providing children in care with advice and support in relation to drugs and alcohol. If you feel as though you need to talk to someone other than your carers about alcohol or drug issues, the DYPP is there to help you. The agency works closely with Thinking Allowed (CAMHS), early intervention services and health services to give you the best quality support available.
Talk to your Social Worker or you can call the service directly on 0117 3772997. The service is confidential and we work closely with many children and young people in care who need support, advice or treatment.
