Secure accommodation

What is secure accommodation?

Secure accommodation is somewhere that some young people live, that is secured (or locked) and safe for them to be in. Whilst in secure accommodation young people are closely monitored by staff and often have one to one support to help them come to terms with any issues they might have. Young people only move to secure accommodation when there is a very very very serious risk that they might cause harm to themselves or to other people. It is always the last option that Bristol City Council wants for any of its young people.
